The imperative sentence

An imperative sentence asks, requests, or commands someone 
to do something. An imperative sentence is a sentence without 
a subject. Sometimes when simply the verb of an imperative 
sentence is referred to, it is said to be in the imperative mood. 
Example:

1. Come to my office.

2. Don't do it.

This type of sentence can end either with a period or with an 
exclamation mark, depending on how strong it is: 

1. Please close the door.

2. Sit!

3. Wish you a happy birthday!
